The wines at Chateau Couchebout are grown, produced and bottled on the property.  The viticulte and production are done either by hand or in small-production scale with great attention.

We prune rigorously to set the low yield we like for our vines.  We then thin when necessary during the growing season.  We sort in the vineyard and at the sorting table.

  2012 Merlot - Medaille d'Argent 2015 (Silver)

Complexity in a pretty dress. Dark garnet color with a beautiful density, intense nose marked by the toasted vanilla that associates with black fruits and structure. The mouth is ample dense and fleshy with a suave balance the finish is always x ample and long.

Nicely dressed garnet with dark reflections, the nose, subtle and elegant, blends the black berries finely roasted.  Frank and tonic from the attack, the palate reveals a dense flesh that coats tannins firm and tight. The fresh, intense and long finish leaves the memory of a powerful, balanced and dynamic wine that can be appreciated as young or patinated by five or six years.   Great pairing on a grilled red meat or a dish in sauce.

  2015 Merlot

The bouquet, at first is discreet, opens with aeration on notes of ripe merlot and spices accompanied by a vanilla woody to the accents of toasted bread. The supple and delicate mouth in attack, gains in power with the support of melted tannins.

  2015 Cabernet Sauvignon

This cabernet has nice features to start with its deep rich colour is tinged with purple. The bouquet pleases with its perfumes of fruits, leather and vanilla. Flexible, fat and round, the attack is already charming, well shouldered in the middle of the mouth by a pleasant freshness and by solid tannins, still a little austere in the final.

Behind a pale colour with greenish reflections, all young Sauvignon, reveal a warm bouquet of notes honeyed and toasted.
